Grace Grimes

Remember looking through comic books when you were younger, gazing at images of beautiful women drawn with imaginative proportions and features? Their bodies are something few women can strive for, if they would even dare. Whether they were damsels in distress, a hero, or even better, a villain, we all have thought to ourselves,

"Why couldn't this cartoon lady be real?" Finally our dreams have come true, as I have met one such woman the world knows as Grace Grimes. Strikingly exotic with a sweet touch of class, this "Wicked Angel" is your cartoon dream come true and is as real as a woman can get!

Two years ago, Grace took on the art of modeling. Watching other women fueled her fire: "If she can do it, then I can do it too." Much more then just a knockout in front of the camera, Grace is a killer athlete for anyone who dares to compete along side her.

She has tackled fitness contests including The Galaxy and The Ironwomen. With both containing a military style obstacle course and a judging round based on the feminine physique, Grace always leaves her mark. "I have also competed in the hit the beach bikini contest finals for the past 2 years," adds Grace.

So, what keeps Grace coming back for more, and is there anything she doesnt like about competing?

"I love to do the fitness contests because it pushes you to get your body in the best shape possible, and you can get some great PR if you get in with the right photographers. I also love to meet the women in fitness contests. Invariably most have a great attitude on life and seek to get the most out of everything in it. I love hanging out with people like this!"

As for the other side of the coin, "Typically bikini contests don't have as many women that I can aspire to. What I don't like about the contests is the political B.S. like who is sleeping with what judge, and who is taking drugs, etc. You know, the sour grapes attitude."

For the question of the year, as these are the "hot shows" for todays 15 and up crowd, I had to ask Grace if she'd ever thought about joining the WWF or WCW.

"No. I haven't really thought of that avenue, but from what I understand from friends that are in it, it can be quite lucrative."

Well what could a character, a real life character such as Grace be doing with her talent? I had to know. I asked if she ever thought about perusing a career as an actress.

"That is what I am doing now Fawnia! I have some great opportunities coming up for some killer roles. Keep your fingers crossed for me and your eyes on the screen!"

Right on the money! I thought. Im dying to know more. Maybe I'll have to include a part two on Grace!

As we spoke, I found that we had even more in common. "I still have a lot to do in this life, but focus on enjoying the journey while I get to where I am going, said Grace. I try to live my life by doing things that I wont have to look back and say I wish I would have. That would suck!"

Modeling is not for everyone, so what would Grace be doing if she had to make a switch?

"I would be in sales. I have a degree in retail marketing and was very successful at it prior to my new career. But I wanted to try something new."

We are glad you did. Seeing you grace the pages of top magazines such as MuscleMag and Oxygen truly brings out the fire in all of us!

As we spoke, I learned that Grace has a side equal to her name. I asked what she would do if she had all the money she could handle. "Money does not necessarily equate to happiness, although it certainly can help. But I would first make sure that I was happy with life, and then give it back to those who need it. Put it this way:

What you are is God's gift to you; what you make of it is your gift to God
Anthony Dalla Villa

The world needs more Grace.

When we turn on our TV in 5 to 10 years, we'll see Grace on a major TV show. This is her goal, along with "constantly learning; life is so short."

For the younger Graces wanting to make modeling and fitness their careers, here is one of the most important pieces of advice you can take to the photo shoot.

"Keep constant focus, and revaluate yourself constantly. Get a good agent that you TRUST. Keep a watchful eye on what you consider your competition and copy them, but constantly keeping your own style. Keep clear and focused goals, and never lose sight of what is really important."

What does Grace do in her spare time for fun?

"I love to be physically active of course. Biking, working out, and lately I have loved learning the martial arts. I also enjoy home decorating, piano  I wish that I played more often!  computers and all of the cool gadgets that go along with them and shopping. Cool shoes  youve got to love them."

When she eats out, Graces says, I love Sushi, Mexican and chocolate. Yeah, I am one of those girls that will hide in the closet and eat a box of chocolates (laughs). Hence, I never buy them!" (Sounds like we are related. I used to eat a whole cake mix, raw, every night when I was younger. Worshipping chocolate!) We are human though (not perfect cartoons).

When preparing for a show, Grace says that her favorite diet and clean foods are "My Met-Rx shakes. I use the protein Plus (low carb). She adds that she is extremely strict with her diet, usually when she is a week out from a shoot or a show. As she says, I work best under pressure.
